Botox® nose slimming at REVIVE Medical Spa in Barrie is a personalized injectable treatment that may be used to address specific muscle activity around the nose. Unlike surgical rhinoplasty, Botox® does not remove tissue or change the underlying bone or cartilage of the nose. Instead, neuromodulator treatment temporarily relaxes selected muscles, so the changes are typically subtle and depend on your individual anatomy and facial movement.

Botox® may be used in selected nasal muscles to create subtle changes in how the nose appears during facial movement. Depending on your anatomy, treatment may help reduce nostril flare, soften a downward pull of the nasal tip when smiling, or improve the appearance of dynamic “bunny lines.”
Botox® does not physically make the nose smaller or change its bone and cartilage structure. Treatment suitability, injection areas and dosing are determined during consultation based on your facial anatomy and aesthetic goals.

What is Botox® nose slimming?

Botox® nose slimming is a neuromodulator treatment that targets selected muscles around the nose. Depending on a person’s anatomy and facial movement, treatment may help reduce nostril flare, soften downward movement of the nasal tip or reduce dynamic lines around the nose. It does not change nasal bone or cartilage.

Can Botox® make my nose smaller?

Botox® cannot physically reduce the size of the nose because it does not remove or reshape bone, cartilage or tissue. In selected patients, reducing certain muscle movements may make features such as nostril flare appear less prominent during facial expression.

Can Botox® lift the tip of my nose?

In selected patients, relaxing a muscle that contributes to downward nasal-tip movement may create a subtle change in the appearance of the tip, particularly during smiling. The amount of change depends on your anatomy and muscle activity and is determined during consultation.

Can Botox® reduce nostril flare?

Botox® may be considered when excessive nostril flare is caused partly by muscle activity. It cannot structurally narrow the nose, and treatment is not appropriate for every patient. A facial assessment is required to determine whether neuromodulator treatment may help.

How long does Botox® nose treatment last?

Results are temporary and vary according to the treatment area, dose, individual muscle activity and metabolism. Your provider will discuss expected duration and appropriate follow-up during your consultation.

When will I see results?

Neuromodulator effects develop gradually after treatment rather than immediately. Timing varies between individuals, so your provider will explain when to assess your result and whether follow-up is appropriate.

Is there downtime after Botox® nose treatment?

Most people can return to normal daily activities after treatment. Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur around injection sites. Your provider will give you individualized aftercare instructions.

Is Botox® nose slimming safe?

Botox® is a prescription medication, and treatment requires appropriate medical assessment, dosing and injection technique. Nasal cosmetic uses are not among the indications listed in the Canadian BOTOX COSMETIC® product monograph, so treatment in these areas is considered off-label. Is Botox® nose slimming the same as a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Not exactly. “Non-surgical rhinoplasty” or “liquid rhinoplasty” commonly refers to treatments that modify nasal contour using dermal filler. Botox® works differently because it affects muscle activity and cannot add volume or reshape bone and cartilage. At REVIVE, this page refers specifically to Botox®-based nasal refinement.

Can Botox® nose treatment replace surgical rhinoplasty?

No. Botox® cannot correct major structural concerns, change nasal bone or cartilage, reduce the physical size of the nose or address functional problems such as breathing difficulties. Surgical rhinoplasty may be more appropriate when structural change is required.
