There is more than one category to treat joint pain:
- Pain Control: not curing the actual condition, instead pain killers eg: Tylenol, Aleve and Advil but these are just just getting the pain under control. As you can tell; the response is temporary because once the pain killers’ effect is over, the pain is back.
- Potent anti-inflammatory eg: Steroid injection. This option works by decreasing the actual inflammation in the joint, However; It is always temporary. This Steroid Injection usually gives relief for 3-6 months. The other downside is: repeated Steroid Injection can cause actual atrophy in the joints.
- Platelets Rich Plasma (PRP) which stimulates the actual healing process within the joints and stimulates the circulation, collagen and elastin production to reverse any actual damage that happened to your joint.
