P-SHOT® IN BARRIE
PRP FOR MALE SEXUAL WELLNESS
WHAT IS THE P-SHOT®?
The P-Shot®, also known as the Priapus Shot®, is a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) procedure. A small sample of your own blood is collected and processed to concentrate platelets within the plasma. The prepared PRP is then injected into targeted penile tissue.
PRP has been studied as a possible approach for erectile dysfunction and male sexual wellness. However, research specifically involving penile PRP remains limited, and current evidence does not allow healthcare providers to reliably predict who will benefit, how significant an improvement may be or how long any effect may last.
At REVIVE Medical Spa in Barrie, the P-Shot is considered within a broader sexual-health assessment rather than as a guaranteed treatment. If erection difficulties are your main concern, you can also learn more about erectile dysfunction treatment in Barrie before discussing whether PRP is appropriate for you.
REVIVE is a physician-led clinic founded by Dr. Marina Beshay, where treatment recommendations are individualized according to medical history, concerns and treatment goals.
HOW DOES THE P-SHOT® PROCEDURE WORK?
The procedure begins with a blood draw. The blood is processed using a centrifuge to separate and concentrate platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then prepared for injection into selected areas of penile tissue.
Your provider will review the procedure, comfort measures, expected recovery and aftercare with you before treatment. Because treatment protocols can vary, the exact injection approach and recommendations are determined according to your consultation and clinical plan.
P-SHOT® / PRIAPUS SHOT®

The P-Shot® uses platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood. After consultation and PRP preparation, the plasma is injected into targeted tissue as part of the procedure. Research into penile PRP is still developing, so individual outcomes vary and treatment benefits cannot be guaranteed.
WHO MAY CONSIDER A P-SHOT® CONSULTATION?
A P-Shot consultation may be considered by adults interested in discussing a PRP-based approach to male sexual wellness. Suitability depends on your health history, medications, symptoms, treatment goals and expectations.
Erectile dysfunction can have cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, neurological, medication-related and psychological causes. For that reason, erection difficulties should be appropriately assessed rather than assuming PRP is the correct treatment for every patient. Catholic University of America
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
Responses to penile PRP can vary. Some early research has reported changes in erectile-function measures, but there is currently not enough evidence to reliably predict the degree of improvement, how quickly changes may occur or how long they may last.
Your consultation should include a discussion of realistic expectations and alternative treatment options so you can make an informed decision about whether the P-Shot is appropriate for you.

P-SHOT® TREATMENT AT REVIVE
At REVIVE, the P-Shot consultation begins with a discussion of your concerns, medical history and goals. If erectile dysfunction is present, other possible contributing factors may also need to be considered before deciding whether PRP is appropriate.
The purpose of consultation is to determine suitability, explain the available evidence, discuss potential risks and establish realistic expectations before treatment.
POSSIBLE RISKS & RECOVERY
Because the P-Shot involves injections, temporary soreness, swelling, bruising or discolouration may occur. Infection and bleeding are also possible with injection procedures.
PRP is prepared from your own blood, which means the risk of an allergic reaction is generally lower than with substances from an outside source, but this does not make the procedure risk-free. Your provider will give you individualized aftercare instructions and explain when to contact the clinic if symptoms are unexpected or worsening.
