When will I see results after Botox®, Dysport®, or Nuceiva® injections?

Initial results from Botox®, Dysport®, or Nuceiva® usually become apparent within a few days to a week following the injections. However, it might take up to two weeks for the full effects to become evident. At what age should I consider Botox®, Dysport®, or Nuceiva®?

Botox® injection by a trained practitioner is, of course, a treatment for wrinkles and fine lines, where a few injections would pull these unwanted imperfections right off your face at any age. For others, Botox® is more preventative than restorative. Its active neuromodulator ingredient “freezes” facial muscles to keep you from contracting them in ways that deepen lines and wrinkles. Therefore, the earlier you get Botox, the more preventative effects you achieve. In other Words, the trend of getting Botox as early as your 20s is a great preventative tool.

How long does the Botox®, Dysport®, or Nuceiva® injection(s) take?

The injection treatment itself can take about 10-15 minutes. However, if this is your first visit, you should give yourself about 45 minutes to go through the initial consultation.

What conditions makes someone unsuitable for Botox®, Dysport®, or Nuceiva®?

Neuromodulators injection must be avoided if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; due to the lack of enough studies to prove its safety in pregnancy and lactation. Neuromodulators injection is also a contraindication if you are known to have myasthenia gravis.

How long do the effects of Botox®, Dysport®, and Nuceiva® last?

The duration of effects for Botox®, Dysport®, and Nuceiva® can vary slightly, but generally:
Botox®: Typically lasts around 3 to 4 months.
Dysport®: Generally lasts about 4 to 6 months.
Nuceiva®: Similar to Botox®, lasting around 3 to 4 months.
